I love when that lightbulb turns on and they learn to read!

My story, and that of my children, as told sporadically by me. We are a family of 14: 2 parents, 5 daughters, 5 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 son-in-law. Trying to make every day count!

Yay!! Congratulate her for me!
Hi Paula,
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Yours is great -- I'd love to add it, unless you'd rather remain more private.
So cute about your kitty. I think that all cats should get a chance to be a mother. We had the best time with kitten litters as children.
God bless!
Kristin
Congratulations! When we got to that point with DS#1, and now with DS#3, I felt so excited for them, but now that we are dealing with DS#2's dyslexia, I see what an amazing gift the ability to read really is. May she enjoy the world of knowledge and imagination that reading opens up to her.
This is so cool! Are all of your kids readers who've "come of age?" I've had a couple who weren't really readers and it made me so sad. They loved reading initially, but once they moved to chapter books it all went out the window. Broke my heart.
Yes, all 5 of my kids that can read are serious readers, and #6 and 7 show signs of becoming readers.
