Although I have been getting mouthier as I get older, and maybe one day I will actually say this comeback to someone, in general I am not the type to say it, but this is what I think and would LIKE to say to the rude comments about having a large family:
You only have 2 (or 1)? Didn't you like the way the first two are turning out, so you didn't have any more?

Oh boy, that's a good one! However, I wouldn't have the guts to say it. Isn't it sad that they have no trouble commenting about our large family, but we don't have the nerve to comment on how small their family is? I usually just smile and pass it off to ignorance.

I've been reading your blog for awhile, and I have a fairly decent idea of where you live based on a few things you've said. I live in Michigan, too, near Grand Rapids. Based on where I think you live - and because you have children - I was wondering if you'd taken the children to a certain place to which we are contemplating planning a trip next week over spring break. Confused? You've never actually said where you live, so I don't want to be too specific LOL. If you happen to read this, and could email me, I'd ask you the specifics then.

ROFL, I think I'd get the courage to say that IF they didn't have their children with them. Otherwise, it would be just as awful as the comments made in front of our children. I like your comeback, though.
